Tiny No More (Converting Mardu Slivers)

A few months ago Tiny Leaders was the new fruit of the month. While it's a really fun as a simi-competitive format, the hype has died down, and finding a game is difficult.

One deck I created for this format is Mardu (RWB) Slivers. Commander is of course my playgroups main format to play, so I'm going to see if I can convert it and keep a similar feel.

The Great Experience (Counters)

Today I'm going to make a fun playful deck that may not work out in the end, but I feel the need to try it. After all this, to me, is what Casual Magic is all about- trying something fun.

The commander 2016 precons have been in our hands for a while now and I want to take advantage of the main new feature in this product- experience counters. So here is my 5 color deck: The Great Experience.

Tiny Leaders: Red Deck Wins- Goblin Style

There has been a new fad in the commander community as of late called tiny leaders. In a nutshell it is 50 card commander decks with all cards being less than 3 converted mana cost. It is meant to be a 1v1 format and competitive. What I want to do for today's exercise is take one of my favorite standard decks from the past and convert it into this new format. The deck is RDW goblin style from the zendikar/scars standard format.

Bladewing Reanimator

In this deck we are going to find ways to cheat out the most iconic tribe in magic: Dragons! Dragons are the biggest baddest creatures out there but often come with a casting cost to match. That doesn't matter here. Our plan is to put dragons into our graveyard and cast spells to "return" them to the battlefield. This will give us explosiveness and longevity at the same time.

Kobolds of Kher Keep! (Prossh, Skyraider of Kher)

Prossh is an amazing new commander, give him haste and he can often destroy any player before they can respond. Amazing and boring, that's not what we are doing here. This deck is all about the Kobolds of Kher Keep. We will destroy them with the weakest tribe available. Even squirrels have more power (and cards related).

Tajic, Blade of the Legion

Today I'm going to take a look at one of my favorite new commanders. Tajic, has some very interesting abilities that makes building around him very much like putting together a puzzle. I want him to kill voltron style, but unlike most voltron commanders, he needs friends to help him deal damage. Also, he is indestructible, so let's take advantage of that too. Rather than build a full scale deck, I'm going to make groups of cards to pick from to include in your decks.
