Tajic, Blade of the Legion

Today I'm going to take a look at one of my favorite new commanders. Tajic, has some very interesting abilities that makes building around him very much like putting together a puzzle. I want him to kill voltron style, but unlike most voltron commanders, he needs friends to help him deal damage. Also, he is indestructible, so let's take advantage of that too. Rather than build a full scale deck, I'm going to make groups of cards to pick from to include in your decks.

2 Headed Giant- Aurela & Agrus Kos

Here is my answer for the deckbuilding challange I sent out on Monday: Aurela and Agrus Kos, leaders of the Boros. 2 decks chock full of creatures that want to get into the red zone and deliver some good old fasion beatdowns.

Deck building challange: 2 Headed Giant

I am issuing a challange to any who will accept. This week build 2 decks that can be used together in a 2 headed giant play session (not a tournament), then post them in your blog or on a messageboard and reply here with a link to your decks.

Deck Building Rules:
Both commanders must be the same color(s)
Only 1 nonbasic copy of any card in either deck. (so both decks cant play pasifism)

Relevant play rules (and 2hg rules for those unfamiliar)
Commander damage has been thrown out
There will be 3-4 teams at a table (ideally)
Players on a team take their turns at the same time. (and take each phase at the same time)
When you attack you pick which player/planeswalker you want to attack on the opposing team, anyone on that team can block. (chosing to attack the player not playing gisela may be the best option)

Official 2HG rules link.

Color identity: Red & White

This is going to be the first of a series of articles that I will hopefully continue and eventually cover all 27 color identity options. Today Red and white, one of my favorite color combinations, will be the focus of conversation.

RED & WHITE

It's difficult reflect on red and white with out bringing up the boros legion. Boros came along and combined the popular tournament archtypes of white weenie and sligh to become the go to color combination for aggressive creature combat. This is actually really difficult to translate into a powerful commander deck due to the inherent weakness of aggro in the format in general. That being said, if there is one color combination that can bring aggression to the table, I would say it's Boros. To do so, we probably need to shy away from what makes Red/White popular in the 60 card formats.
